How much is Manny Pacquiao’s net worth now?

In our last article detailing all of Manny Pacquaio’s major bouts since his 2006 ascent into fame, we found out that the pound for pound king’s net worth stands at about 5.7 Billion Philippine Pesos, or $141 Million U.S. dollars!

In the tally below, it is shown that his first few bouts were tallied and tied to the 49 to a dollar exchange rate.  We also deducted roughly 7 million dollars from the total loot as he was estimated to have spent this for his congressional campaign.  Not included in the estimate mix is his various plus and minuses: political and charitable contributions by and to him, advertisement sponsorship, various expenses in real estate in the Philippines and abroad, plus his anchor ball and chain posse.

The 5.7B takes all of his fights since 2006 and multiplies them to 41, assuming he left them all in dollars.

If we were to multiply his 21M tally while the exchange rate was still at a high 49 to a dollar, the total amount would not be far, and still sit at around 5.9B pesos.

Let’s recap:

Boxing Purse 2008 and before:

It is in pro boxing where Pacquiao’s earnings are somehow measurable. Win or lose, a boxer is guaranteed to receive the purse stipulated in his contract. His contract with American promoter Bob Arum reportedly guarantees him a minimum of $2 million for every fight.

In the two years spanning 2006-2008, Pacquiao has earned $21 million from the following fights:

$2 million—against Erik Morales (January 2006)
$1 million—against Oscar Larios (July 2006)
$3 million—against Erik Morales (November 2006)
$2 million—against Jorge Solis (April 2007)
$2 million—against Marco Antonio Barrera (October 2007)
$11 Mill – against Dela Hoya (December 2008)

This $21M was equal to 1 Billion Philippine pesos at an exchange rate of 49:1$!!

Career tally 2008 and beyond:120+21

$12 million – against Ricky Hatton (May 2009)
$14 million – against Miguel Cotto (November 2009)
$12 million – against Joshua Clottey (March 13, 2010)
$25 million – against Antonio Margarito (November 2010)
$15 million – against Shane Mosley (May 2011)
$20 million – against Juan Manuel Marquez (November 2011)
$20 million – against Timothy Bradley (June 2012)
$9 million – against Juan Manuel Marquez Part 4 (December 2012, amount not final yet, based on estimates)

SPENT: Pacquiao spent a reported $7 million for the campaign for the post of congressman.

-thus for the years 2009 to present all the way to his upcoming Pacquiao Marquez 4 fight this December 8, Manny Pacquiao netted $120 Million dollars more!  That’s 4.9 billion pesos at the rate of $1:P41 !
