Summer spots: Beaches near Metro Manila

Looking for a day trip to a beach resort? These resorts are great places to visit since they are just a couple of hours away from the metro and you can choose to have a day trip or spend an overnight.

Sunset Cove in Morong Bataan – if you hate the crowds, this is the place for you.  Fine sand with small waves make it perfect for families with young children.  Its a private beach and prior reservation is required.  Owner of the resort is very nice and employees (caretakers, etc) are very helpful.  But entrance fee is a bit expensive.   You can bring your own food and cook it there.

Montemar Beach Club in Bagac Bataan – clean and well maintained beach club that had been a recently renovated.  Though a bit more pricey than other resorts, I think you get the value of what you pay for.

Camayan Beach Resort in Subic Bay – Though this place can be a bit crowded, its a great place to go when you plan to visit Ocean Adventure in Subic.  The beaches are clean and great for kids too.  But I would advise you to visit when its not too crowded so you can totally enjoy the resort.
