how much is Manny Pacquiao worth this 2011?

In our past article of how much Manny Pacquiao is worth, we ascertained him to be easily way over the 1 Billion peso mark.  That was a few fights ago.

In our 2008 article, we wrote:

Boxing Purse:

It is in pro boxing where Pacquiao’s earnings are somehow measurable. Win or lose, a boxer is guaranteed to receive the purse stipulated in his contract. His contract with American promoter Bob Arum reportedly guarantees him a minimum of $2 million for every fight.

In the last two years, Pacquiao has earned $21 million from the following fights:

$2 million—against Erik Morales (January 2006)
$1 million—against Oscar Larios (July 2006)
$3 million—against Erik Morales (November 2006)
$2 million—against Jorge Solis (April 2007)
$2 million—against Marco Antonio Barrera (October 2007)
$11 Mill – against Dela Hoya (December 2008)

This is equal to 1 Billion Philippine pesos at an exchange rate of 49:1$!!

Of course the exchange rate has differed since then, and we are now at 43.3:1$, but there were quite a few fights added.

May 2, 2009, he fought Ricky Hatton for a guaranteed purse of $12M
November, 2009, he fought Miguel Cotto and earned $22M
March 13, 2010, he fought Joshua Clottey for a guaranteed purse of $12 million
November 13, 2010 he fought Antonio margarito and earned including PPV $20
May 7 2011, the upcoming fight against Shane Mosley, guaranteed $15M

So at 43.3 Pesos the Dollar, Pacquiao from the year 2009 up to his upcoming fight with Mosley already added an easy $81M to his coffers, or 3.5 Billion Pesos!

That’s a total of 4.5Billion from his fights since 2006!
