Wall street Holiday Monday, Memorial Day

The cat is away, and supposedly the mouse can play, but “cat futures” pointed .5% lower, dampening any positive hopefulness for Asia, despite Europe closing flat last night.

Only a handful of index stocks gained: AGI 5.8 TEL BDO CHIB ICT, while losers were led by MBT EDC SM FPH MEG RLC.

MEG kept falling and falling to 1.20 on 89m nfs mostly by broker 333 Warburg, maybe due to more rights at 1 peso being selllable come June 14.

There was some brief interest in DGTL that took it to 1.46 but some 18m nfs pared the gains down to 1.40.

JGS almost fell to 13.25 before some last few minutes’ heavy buying cleaned out 13.75, URC behaved almost the same way as 26.50 was finished off.

Other best gainers were CMT .98, AGI 5.80, ASIA 6, worst losers were OMW2 .004, OM .011, MEG 1.20

After yesterday’s stockholders’ meeting which did not announce any dividend for FPH, some speculating investors were disappointed and sold FPH down over 2 pesos to close at 56.
