Apple tablet islate or itablet to be announced soon?

Not even out yet, Apple's new product to be launched this month is the new topic of speculation, even sending Apple shares surging.  Apple’s stock (AAPL) on Thursday surged $6.94, or 3.4 percent, to close at a record high of $209.04. That topped the previous closing high of $207 on Nov. 17.

So what would the name of the tablet like device be?

MacRumors has found the historic record proving Apple ownership of the iSlate.com domain to be that of Apple's as of 2007.

The pictures depicted in this blog are just concept ideas of what the speculated islate may look like, which would be priced in the range of $800-$1000.

The key origin of all this speculation arose when Apple rented a stage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and is rumored to be making a “major product announcement” on January 26.

Whether its functions would be limited to that of an e-book reader or a glorified iphone, or a stripped down mac, remains to be seen.
